Scripture in the Morning #128

Scripture in the Morning #128

Good Morning.

Ever consider how amazing it is that God takes time out to hear us?

When I was in graduate school, my research advisor might give me one short audience a week – one time to speak to him in a week. That was deemed reasonable – or at least it was at that time – for he was a world-class scientist with 20+ students in his lab. After all, he was busy and important. How could he take time out for any one of us? So… a once a week audience with him actually seemed generous.

With that in view, consider how amazing it is that God takes time out to hear us…

Consider that He is restraining sin in every person on the planet – all at the same time. And, at the same time, He is ordaining – causing – all that is good in everyone everywhere on the planet. And, at the same time as all that, He is determining what sin can be manifest, where it is manifest, how it is manifest and He is doing that with the best end result for everyone in the world all at the same time. In addition to all that, He is upholding the universe in the power of His greatness. And, at the same time still, He is controlling everything in thought, attitude, and action everywhere for everyone. And yet, this infinite and amazingly busy God who does all this all the time for everyone everywhere – well – He listens to us. We have this…

Psalm 145:18,19 The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. 19 He fulfills the desire of those who revere Him; He also hears their cry and saves them.

Astounding! The God of all greatness listens any time we speak onto Him in love.

May the Lord move you to reverent thanksgiving towards Him in prayer this fine day. Have a wonderful day and may you each just revel at the privileged position you have – you can talk to God at any instant!
