Scripture in the Morning #136

Good Morning:

Our quest: Seeing Ourselves for Who We Are. We are a People Who are Viewed by the Father in the Perfection of Christ…

When the Father looks at you — a redeemed sinner – a person that Christ has saved on the Cross – what the Father sees is a person forgiven and without any sin whatsoever. All your sin is gone. Christ paid the penalty. He served your hell sentence for you. He experienced the wrath of God against your sin. It is gone. But there is more…

When the Father looks at you He sees the Righteousness of Christ. He sees perfection. He sees the perfect merit Christ earned by living a perfect life on this earth. We have the righteousness of Christ — it is ours by grace — we are so blessed!

2 Corinthians 5:21 For our sake God the Father made Christ to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Christ we might become the righteousness of God.

Philippians 3:9 and be found in Christ, not having a righteousness of our own that comes from the law, but that which comes through Christ, the righteousness from God…

Because we can be honest with ourselves about our own sinfulness and our inability to earn anything on our own before the Lord — because Grace has moved us to realize we have no ability whatsoever for good works in our own power — because God has enlightened us to realize that we have no need to strive for earning God’s favor because we know Christ has already earned all favor for us… well we can revel in being free and thank and praise God for freeing us from ourselves…

Life is good – God is beyond great and we are His. So smile my friends, all is well. Enjoy the Lord this day.
