Scripture in the Morning #151
A few verses for this morning…
Col 3:2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Eph 4:29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
A prayer starter…
“Lord, by your grace, please give us hearing ears and attentive hearts that we can encourage one another in Christ, that we would be your instruments of grace in each others lives. Lord, create in us pure thoughts of one another. Grant us a forgiving heart that we would not have wedges between us. Father, create in us Godly motives in our interchange with one another. Remove our selfishness. Remove our laziness that prevents us from labor that we do not benefit from — that stops us from benefiting others. Replace such things with selfless motives and with a God-inspired passion for serving others. And Father God, in all this, let us not make idols of one another. Please Lord, ensure that all we do for one another is cloaked in a thanksgiving heart that recognizes that you are at the center of it all. Let us be ones who help each other focus on you. Let us be ones who encourage others in Christ. Use us to help those around us focus more fully on you.”
May the Lord bring to each of our mind this morning the name of one person whom the Lord can bless through us. Who will it be for you? May we each seek the Lord’s strength to be vessel of blessing this day.
