We have been on a theme here lately – and that theme continues. The theme is that trials are good for us. And that while in a trial we should be content, hopeful and assured that God has us there for the purpose of growing us. And, in addition, we are truly called to be a blessing to others while we are in a trial.
For your consideration… Our time in a trial – in uncomfortable circumstances – is precious. It is precious growth and refinement in the hands of our Triune God. It should be our desire to be there all the while watching the Lord grow and refine both us and our loved ones as He blesses us in the school of affliction. And we should desire to be there with our loved ones so intimately that we are agents of God’s grace in their lives as He grows and blesses them through us. And we should embrace, appreciate and be absolutely open to our loved ones serving us as we are in trial.
The idea is that we are to be other centered and God centered when we are outside our comfort zone in our life circumstances. And, at the same time, we are to be open to our loved ones aiding us when we are struggling. We need to share our burdens, one with another…
Numbers 11:17 … I will take of the Spirit who is upon you, and will put Him upon them; and they shall bear the burden with you, so that you will not bear it all alone
In fact, we are commanded to share our burdens.
Galatians 6:2 Bear one another’s burdens…
There is purpose in whatever God ordains for you. That purpose is to provide a context for you to grow and also to lift others up, encourage them, serve them and love them in the Lord. When the Lord determines the best context for you at that moment is in trial – outside your comfort zone – then He will ordain that for you and it will be there that God grows and uses you.
So my friends, embrace all things – even the difficult things of life for God is at work blessing you through it all.
