Scripture in the Morning #29

Scripture in the Morning #29

Good Morning.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Rest well. God is in charge and has you covered. Fear nothing.

OK. How about Stephen who was stoned to death in the book of Acts. Did God have him covered? Did God protect Stephen? The answer…

Yes. God’s love was never removed from Stephen. Within minutes at that time 2000 years ago – Stephen was in heaven. For these past 2000 years Stephen has known joy, peace and comfort beyond what we can imagine. He has been with the Lord all this time. I am certain the few minutes of pain are long forgotten.

How about Paul the Apostle? Was his life easy? No. Was it blessed? YES! Did God grow him and use him as a blessing before He called Paul home? YES! When Paul was called home, the process to get him there was being martyred – he was beheaded. Did God forsake him in any way? NO. Is Paul in heaven knowing joy beyond our comprehension? YES! Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Paul was upheld all along.

My mom, my uncle, my aunt, my dad – they all died painful deaths. All were saved. All were blessed in their lives – including during their times of difficulty. None were forsaken. All were upheld by God’s right hand.

When the Scriptures tell us fear not – it is not a promise of an easy path – though we may be given an easy path. Either way, the reality is the same…

Rom 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.

Amazing grace!
